Arūnė Jurevičiūtė’s fashion label, Searching, born in Vilnius, Lithuania, is more than a brand—it’s a statement of resilience, identity, and belonging. Although still young, Searching has quickly emerged as a bold and socially aware label, deeply rooted in both personal narrative and collective history.

The brand was conceived as “a community for the brave who are searching…”—whether it’s for home, love, self, hope, happiness, or even a favorite cookie. That spirit of seeking is woven into every piece Jurevičiūtė designs, reflecting a fusion of passion, depth, and poetic intention.

Growing up in Lithuania, Jurevičiūtė was captivated by people’s outfits and the stories they told. As a child, she was inspired by a TV show where a stylist critiqued street fashion. “Fashion became more than just clothing,” she recalls. “It was freedom, self-expression, and confidence.” That passion led her to launch a successful blog, Saint Style, in 2016, which eventually inspired her to study fashion design in the UK due to limited options back home.

At Middlesex University, she faced a major obstacle when her graduate collection show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, she turned the setback into innovation, recreating her designs in 3D with the help of her fiancé—a decision that not only showcased her adaptability but also positioned her at the forefront of sustainable digital fashion.

Her background adds another layer of meaning to her creations. Lithuania’s traumatic history under Soviet occupation left a generational imprint, something Arūnė acknowledges. The invasion of Ukraine brought that trauma back into sharp focus, reminding her of her great-grandfather’s fate—murdered for refusing to disclose sensitive information. This heritage fuels her commitment to courage and expression through fashion. Her graduate collection, inspired by Lithuanian resistance fighters, set the tone for Searching’s ethos: empowering people to fight for who they are.

Despite warnings about the difficulty of launching a fashion brand, Jurevičiūtė trusted her vision. “Being able to create freely and help others feel confident and authentic is the greatest gift I could give myself,” she says. Searching became her vehicle for that mission—fearless, elegant, and a little rebellious.

One of her most touching collections, Zosephine, honors her grandmother—and all grandmothers. It invites us to reimagine them as young, vibrant, rebellious women who once fought for love, joy, and dreams. Through vintage-inspired elements merged with bold modern flair, Arūnė asks her audience to think deeply about the lives of those who came before them and to open real conversations across generations.

Sustainability is core to her process. Garments are made only after an order is placed, tailored precisely to the client. She prioritizes eco-cotton and recycled materials, avoids mass production, and limits quantities to ensure each piece is unique.

“Even if people ask us to recreate sold-out designs, we don’t. We want every client to feel special,” she explains. Custom orders, however, are always welcomed

Nature and language also play a role in her inspiration. Lithuanian, she says, is a poetic language, and the culture is deeply connected to the natural world. “There’s a saying in Lithuania: when you’re happy, sad, or lost, you go to the forest for answers,” she laughs.

Ultimately, Searching is more than just a fashion label—it’s a living story. It honors heritage, embraces change, and champions individuality. Arūnė Jurevičiūtė has created not just a brand, but a movement for those bold enough to search for something more.
