Cardi B is officially “Outside.” The American rapper Cardi B just dropped her first solo single of 2025, hitting streaming platforms on June 20. She’s obviously marking her return with a loud, confident anthem built for block parties and late-night flexes.
On Instagram, she teased the drop with a now-viral post: “We OUTSIDE this Friday.” The single’s cover art screams summer in New York—an open fire hydrant gushing onto the sidewalk, lipstick tubes and blunt wrappers scattered near dominoes and red Solo cups. It’s a familiar scene, reimagined as a Bardi-style street party.
The track itself doesn’t waste time. Over a bass-heavy beat, Cardi sounds fully uncuffed and unfiltered. “I’ve been cuffed up too long, let me remind n—as,” she raps, throwing direct shots while making it clear she’s moved on from Offset.
“Your favorite player on your favorite team, he in my DM”
Fans have been waiting on this one. After months of snippets circulating online, the full release finally dropped, sending the Bardi Gang into overdrive. “DOWNNNNNNNNNNNN BABY! I ran that snippet OUT,” one fan wrote under her post, echoing the anticipation that’s been building.
Also this year, Cardi B appeared on the Smurfs Movie soundtrack and joined Pardison Fontaine for “Toot It Up.” Outside is her first solo release since “Enough” in 2024.
Off the mic, she’s been just as visible. She turned heads at the Met Gala, then made her relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs public by showing up courtside at a Knicks playoff game. And between the glam came something softer: a rare glimpse of her daughter Blossom and a sunlit pool day with all three kids, a reminder that behind the mic, there’s still a mom who knows how to unplug.
