Eric Emanuel Steps Into the Future With a Bold SS25 Collection
Eric Emanuel has long been synonymous with statement-making sports shorts—a streetwear staple that defined his brand’s early momentum. But with the launch of his first full ready-to-wear collection for Spring/Summer 2025, the New York-based designer signals a pivotal evolution. This isn’t just a new drop—it’s a defining shift in identity.

Styled by Ian Bradley and captured by photographer Menelik Puryear, the SS25 lookbook is a striking homage to Emanuel’s playful spirit and polished athleticism. The editorial radiates summer energy with bold hues, contrasting textures, and irreverent layering, pushing the limits of what casual sportswear can be.

At the heart of the collection lies a lineup of tailored essentials and textured knits—refined without losing the DNA of his earlier capsule collections. Think plush cable-knit shorts and coordinating zip-up hoodies in a gradient of rich tones: off-white, mint green, navy, and lemon yellow. The palette is unmistakably optimistic, making each piece feel like a wearable mood board for warmer days ahead

In one of the more eye-catching ensembles, Bradley pairs a cropped mesh jersey in forest green—punctuated by a vivid pink “91”—with earth-toned shorts for a modern nod to ‘90s nostalgia. Another standout: a tie-dye button-down in sun-faded orange and goldenrod, proving Emanuel’s continued love for color as storytelling.

But perhaps the most compelling aspect of the collection is the fabric innovation. Emanuel reimagines his signature shorts silhouette in unexpected materials like plush knits and breathable summer stripes. The new striped-knit sets, arriving in candy-toned pink and yellow, strike a balance between resort ease and city-ready polish.

Rounding out the range are pieces that push the brand further into sophisticated territory—classic Oxford shirts in crisp pink, blue, and white; structured denim tops; and linen track pants with contrast side panels that echo vintage warm-up gear with a luxury twist.

The collection’s first installment is available now at the Eric Emanuel web store, featuring the Summer Cableknit Shorts, Zip-Ups, Oxford Shirting, and Linen Track Pants. The second drop—featuring Striped-Knit Shorts and Button-Downs—arrives June 6.

With this launch, Eric Emanuel firmly steps into a broader design universe. It’s a coming-of-age moment—one that feels both confident and creatively charged. And it proves what insiders have known for a while: Emanuel is here to design beyond the moment. He’s building a legacy.
