Rising Irish songwriter Katie Phelan has officially announced her debut EP, ‘Blues And Greens’, set for release on June 11th via the tastemaker label 7476. A fresh yet soulful voice in indie-folk, Katie brings a uniquely heartfelt and introspective tone to the genre—one deeply rooted in her upbringing in Stamullen, Co. Meath, nestled along Ireland’s coastline.

That connection to home and nature pulses through every note of her music, giving her sound a bucolic, earthy warmth that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. ‘Blues And Greens’ is her introductory statement to the world—an exploration of the emotions and reflections that come with growing up and moving on.

The EP is introduced by the beautifully written single “Nothing Stays The Same,” now streaming on all major platforms. Accompanied by a charming music video, the track is a tribute to the quiet moments that define home—mundane yet meaningful. With Katie’s brother Peter on piano, the song becomes a tender family collaboration filled with feeling.

“I wrote it in my childhood bedroom on the floor, where I’ve written a lot of my songs,” Katie shares. “It’s about missing the little mundane things—like the sounds of family pottering around the house—and realizing those are the things that matter most.”

Produced by Pete Robertson—a founding member of The Vaccines and producer for artists like Beabadoobee, Orla Gartland, and Clairo—the EP is expected to blend Katie’s gentle lyricism with warm, indie-folk textures that reflect her storytelling roots.

With ‘Blues And Greens’, Katie Phelan steps confidently into the spotlight—vulnerable, poetic, and deeply authentic. Her sound may be soft, but her voice is one that demands to be heard.

Stream “Nothing Stays The Same” now and mark your calendars for June 11th. Katie Phelan is one to watch.
