The Los Angeles Lakers have officially locked in their roster for the 2025 Summer League, and it’s a well-balanced mix of promising rookies, G-League-tested talent, and rising second-year stars. As they prepare to open play at the California Classic this weekend, all eyes are on Bronny James and Dalton Knecht, who headline a 16-player squad built to make a statement.

This summer’s action tips off Saturday, July 6, at 3:30 p.m. with a matchup against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center in San Francisco. The Lakers will then face the Miami Heat on July 7 and the San Antonio Spurs on July 9, before heading to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League starting July 10. Their first Vegas game? A showdown with the Dallas Mavericks and No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg.

While Bronny’s presence adds star power, the full roster reveals a depth of experience and potential. Some players, like Cole Swider and Trey Jemison III, return with prior Lakers Summer League experience, while others, including international standouts and recent college stars, will make their debut in the purple and gold.

Here’s the full Lakers 2025 Summer League roster:

    • Darius Bazley, F, 6-9, 216 lbs, age 25 – 6 years pro (Princeton HS, USA)

    • Ethan Taylor, G, 6-5, 205 lbs, age 23 – Rookie (Air Force)

Notably missing is Adou Thiero, the Lakers’ recent No. 36 draft pick, who’s currently sidelined with a knee injury sustained during his final college season at Arkansas.

Following their California Classic run, the Lakers head to Las Vegas where their schedule includes:

    • July 10 vs. Dallas Mavericks (featuring Cooper Flagg) at 5:00 p.m.
    • July 12 vs. New Orleans Pelicans at 5:30 p.m.
    • July 14 vs. LA Clippers at 7:30 p.m.
    • July 17 vs. Boston Celtics at 6:00 p.m.

From July 18–20, teams will either compete in a four-team tournament or play a final consolation game.

The Summer League has always been a testing ground for young prospects, but for the 2025 Lakers, it’s more than that—it’s a sneak peek at the franchise’s next chapter. Whether you’re here for Bronny’s rise, Knecht’s consistency, or a breakout from an unexpected rookie, this roster is full of stories waiting to be written.
