At Time’s 100 Gala in New York City, Megyn Kelly made headlines with her blunt remarks about Blake Lively and her ongoing harassment case involving It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
When asked about Lively’s inclusion on Time’s Most Influential People list, Kelly didn’t mince words, suggesting that Lively was honored “only because she’s a celebrity.” Kelly went even further, criticizing Lively’s allegations against Baldoni as “fake Me Too accusations,” casting a controversial light on the high-profile case.
The former Fox News anchor also weighed in on Lively’s friendship with Taylor Swift, calling on the pop superstar to take a public stance. Referring to a past text in which Lively called Swift her “dragon” — a nod to Khaleesi from Game of Thrones — Kelly said:
“Either Taylor Swift is her dragon or she isn’t. If I were Taylor, I’d speak out about it. But obviously she’s distancing herself.”
Meanwhile, Lively attended the gala with her husband Ryan Reynolds and her mother, Willie Elain McAlpin, delivering an emotional speech during the evening. In her speech, Lively shared a personal story: her mother had survived a near-fatal attack by a work acquaintance before Blake was born. Lively credited her mother’s survival to hearing another woman speak about a similar experience on the radio, inspiring McAlpin to keep fighting.

The broader controversy stems from Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, his publicists, and producers of It Ends With Us, alleging that they retaliated against her after she reported sexual harassment on set. In response, Baldoni has countersued Lively and Reynolds, accusing them of conspiring to damage his career with what he claims are false allegations.
As the legal battle unfolds, pressure is mounting on Swift to either stand by her close friend or publicly step back — a decision that could have major cultural and personal repercussions.
