“Tu Recompensa,” the latest release from Argentine reggae pioneers Nonpalidece, is more than just a reimagined track — it’s a powerful celebration of cultural fusion. Originally launched in 2009, this reggae classic now returns with a dynamic twist, featuring the distinctive voice and vibrant energy of Kumar Fyah, one of Jamaica’s rising reggae artists.

The collaboration marks a symbolic bridge between Argentina and the birthplace of reggae, Jamaica — a theme deeply embedded in Nonpalidece’s most recent project, Hecho en Jamaica. “Tu Recompensa” emerges as a bonus track for the deluxe edition of this critically acclaimed album, freshly nominated for the Premios Gardel, one of Argentina’s highest honors in music. Kumar Fyah’s contribution enriches the track with a unique vocal depth and authenticity, making the new version feel both globally relevant and emotionally grounded.

Complementing this release is the recent premiere of their intimate documentary, Hecho en Jamaica, directed by Santiago “Gallo” Bluguerman. Presented at Sala Beethoven in Buenos Aires, the film offers an inside look at the band’s musical pilgrimage to Jamaica, capturing the raw creative process behind the album while paying tribute to reggae’s cultural heartbeat.

Currently, Nonpalidece is taking their legacy on the road with the Gira Celebración — a national tour that revisits more than 25 years of their musical evolution. The tour includes a symbolic return to Concepción del Uruguay on June 19 and 20 — exactly 25 years after their first performance there. Upcoming shows include Auditorio Oeste on June 21, Mar del Plata on July 26, and San Luis on September 5.

As they continue to push boundaries while honoring their roots, “Tu Recompensa” stands as a milestone — a reward not only for long-time fans but also for a new generation discovering the richness of reggae’s global soul.
